Business Case Study Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to partner with faculty and develop high-quality business case studies for academic instruction, publication, and use in teaching. As a Business Case Study Writer, you will conduct thorough research, collaborate with faculty, and write case studies that include background context, decision points, alternative courses of action, supporting data, and teaching notes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Market Research: Gather factual and qualitative data needed for case study development through thorough market, industry, and organizational research.
  • Collaborate with Faculty: Work closely with faculty to clarify pedagogical objectives, learning outcomes, and case formats.
  • Write Case Studies: Craft case studies that include background context, decision points, alternative courses of action, supporting data, and teaching notes.
  • Maintain Academic Integrity: Ensure factual accuracy through verification and citations; maintain academic integrity.
  • Revise Drafts: Revise drafts based on feedback from faculty/stakeholders; ensure clarity, relevancy, engagement.
  • Publish Cases: Support the process of preparing cases for external publishing, case competitions, or inclusion in printed/in-house outlets.
  • Manage Timelines: Meet project timelines and manage multiple case writing assignments simultaneously.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A master's degree in Business / Management / Case Writing / Communications, or related field; PhD preferred.
  • Proven publication record: at least 10 completed and published case studies or similar works such as detailed business reports with teaching notes.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English; ability to compose narratives that are analytically strong, engaging, and pedagogically sound.
  • Strong research skills, including interviewing, data gathering, qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with business case formats, and experience in academic settings or business school pedagogies.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with faculty and stakeholders.
  • Good time management skills and ability to deliver under deadlines.
