Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategy that aligns with the business objectives.

This involves ensuring seamless unit performance, maintaining high safety standards, and achieving continuous improvement in unit performance while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with at least 25 years of experience in the hydrocarbon or petrochemical industry. They should have held senior positions such as Unit Head or Second-line Unit Head in a medium to large-sized unit.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Developing an operational plan that incorporates goals and objectives aligned with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Increasing terminal throughput, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Guiding and reviewing maintenance plans and annual budgets to ensure they support plant objectives.
  • Ensuring project completion on time and without cost overrun.
  • Guiding and reviewing marketing, logistics, and material procurement plans to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Continually investing in building people capabilities and competencies across all functions and disciplines.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory norms.
  • Establishing, supporting implementation, monitoring, and improving the HSEF system to mitigate risk and achieve sustainable operation with best-in-class HSEF performance.
  • Ensuring effective fund management and controls on budget and inventory.
  • Maintaining a harmonious work environment in the unit.
