Responsibilities:

  • Manage general ledger account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and treasury management, payroll accounting, and fixed assets accounting.
  • Plan and monitor monthly close activities to deliver timely financial reports to the management team.
  • Ensure the accuracy of general ledger data by performing ratio analysis, logical reasoning, and test data verification.
  • Oversee GST, TDS, and other tax compliance requirements.
  • Monitor work allocation matrices to ensure task completion within agreed-upon timeframes and prepare monthly KPI metrics.
  • Maintain adherence to information security and control procedures.
  • Conduct first-level appraisals for the team and provide guidance on career development within the organization.
  • Identify training needs for the team and deliver sessions accordingly.
  • Engage with stakeholders to explain results in relation to budgets and forecasts.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in GL-related roles.
  • Excellent double-entry accounting knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in income tax, GST, statutory audit, and related areas.
  • Excellent English language skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • High sense of ownership and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
