Job Title: Residential Care Manager

A residential care manager is required to oversee the daily operations of a student residence, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for all residents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining discipline, order, and decorum among residents, addressing grievances and counseling needs, and enforcing rules and regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the student residence, including accommodation, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering.
  • Allot rooms and maintain updated records of occupancy.
  • Monitor infrastructure and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure hygienic conditions and proper functioning of facilities.
  • Student Welfare & Discipline:
  • Maintain discipline and order among residents.
  • Address grievances and counseling needs.
  • Ensure safety, security, and well-being of residents in the residence premises.
  • Enforce rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
  • Coordination & Supervision:
  • Supervise support staff, including ward boys, housekeeping, and security personnel.
  • Coordinate with mess staff for quality food service and timely meals.
  • Liaise with university administration on residence-related matters.
  • Organize residence activities, orientation, and community-building events.
  • Safety & Security:
  • Ensure proper security arrangements in the residence premises.
  • Maintain records of visitors and restrict unauthorized entry.
  • Take prompt action during emergencies (medical, safety, or disciplinary).
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety and health regulations.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree (preferably in Management, Social Sciences, Education, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a residential care manager/administrator (experience in an educational institution preferred).
  • Ex Service man preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and responsibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping.
