Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As an IMS DB Application Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing IMS databases to support enterprise applications effectively.

This role requires a strong understanding of database management systems, particularly IBM Information Management System (IMS) databases. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and performance tuning these databases within a mainframe environment.

The IMS DB Application Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of critical data used by enterprise applications. This includes:

  • Designing and implementing IMS databases
  • Maintaining and tuning database performance
  • Ensuring data availability and integrity
  • Managing database security protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant educational background in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in IMS database management
  • Experience with performance tuning and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of data security practices
