Project Estimator Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Estimator Lead to spearhead and manage the estimation processes for large-scale EPC projects within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record of delivering accurate cost estimates across civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.

  • The successful applicant will lead the estimation team for LSTK/EPC projects, thoroughly examining tender documents and ensuring alignment with client expectations, deadlines, and proposal submission requirements.
  • They will also be responsible for prequalifying with relevant Oil & Gas Vendor Databases and EPC contractors to maintain competitive positioning.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing commercial comparisons to support bid proposals and conducting cost estimations of projects based on P&IDs and project scope.
  • Liaising with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure scope and estimate alignment.
  • Monitoring and ensuring all cost estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborating with business development and project management teams to review and finalize project bids.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 13 years of experience in estimation, with a focus on EPC projects within the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of LSTK/EPC project delivery in oil and gas, including strong understanding of project cost estimation processes across various disciplines.
  • Proven experience in managing vendor and subcontractor relationships, including sending RFQs and compiling budgetary estimates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
