Cloud Migration Expert

At the forefront of cloud migration, we're seeking a seasoned Cloud Migration Expert to drive large-scale data engineering projects forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and deploy robust and scalable data pipelines for migrating on-premise data systems to cloud platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, PySpark, and SQL for data transformation and processing.
  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with architects and technical leads to design efficient and effective cloud migration strategies and solutions.
  • Code Quality: Ensure high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code is delivered through participation in code reviews and constructive feedback to peers.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of data pipelines and applications for efficiency and scalability.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data migration, quality, and system performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver successful outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in IT industry, focusing on data engineering and ETL development.
  • Hands-on experience with Datastage for building and managing ETL jobs.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects, understanding challenges and best practices involved in moving data to the cloud.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in Databricks and its ecosystem, including notebooks, jobs, and Delta Lake.
  • Expertise in PySpark for developing data processing applications on distributed computing frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with database concepts and excellent analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
