Job Opportunity: GIS Data Migration Specialist

Gnapi Technologies is a global provider of IT services and solutions. We are seeking an experienced GIS Data Migration Specialist with expertise in FME and Utility Network implementations to lead complex data migration projects within the utilities sector.

  • Lead and execute data migration projects, focusing on Utility Network implementations.
  • Design, build, and optimize FME workspaces and workflows for geospatial data migration, transformation, and automation.
  • Define and implement data migration strategies from legacy network models to modern ArcGIS Utility Network or other utility GIS platforms.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Maintain data integrity, quality, and performance across migration workflows.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in GIS, with at least 3+ years of hands-on expertise in FME.
  • Strong experience in Utility Network modeling and migration (ArcGIS Utility Network or equivalent).
  • Proven background in GIS data migration and transformation projects within the utilities domain.
  • Proficiency in spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial standards (OGC, ISO).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms (ArcGIS Online, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Scripting experience with Python or SQL for data automation in FME.
