Job Title: Data Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex corporate IT infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database systems using SQL Server technologies.
  • Develop and execute strategies for performance tuning and management specifically related to SQL Server.
  • SUPPORT FAIL OVER CLUSTERING, SAN REPLICATION, DATABASE REPLICATION (SNAPSHOT AND TRANSACTIONAL), SQL HIGH AVAILABILITY TECHNOLOGIES, ANALYSIS SERVICES, INTEGRATION SERVICES AND REPORTING SERVICES
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with databases and other critical technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • MIGRATE BETWEEN VERSIONS OF SQL SERVER.
  • PROVIDE 24/7 PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR BUSINESS CRITICAL APPLICATIONS AND SERVERS.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role.
  • Experience working within a financial services organization.
  • Knowledge of Redgate SQL Monitor and Redgate SQL Backup.
  • Previous experience of migrating between versions of SQL Server.
  • Previous experience of providing 24/7 production and development support for business critical applications and servers.
