Smart Energy Investment Manager

Our organization is a leading provider of smart energy solutions in India, with a focus on implementing advanced metering infrastructure. We design and produce a wide range of smart energy meters, including consumer smart meters, distribution transformer meters, feeder meters, and boundary meters.

Our team is responsible for providing technology-driven solutions to our clients, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Investor Relations team as a Smart Energy Investment Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing investments, identifying acquisition opportunities, and enhancing our financial visibility in the smart energy sector.

This role will involve proactively outreach to domestic/international investors, pitching our company's story, maintaining relationships, and managing transaction execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Soliciting and cultivating investors through proactive outreach and relationship management.
  • Identifying M&A opportunities by evaluating targets, performing due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and strategic assessment.
  • Maintaining up-to-date investor and board decks, financial models, and information packages.
  • Providing accurate financial, technical, operational, and competitive data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Benchmarking and tracking peer and competitor activity in the smart energy, metering, and utilities sector.
  • Utilizing deep industry contacts and past successful investments or deals within manufacturing or energy infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with leadership teams to ensure alignment on financial and strategic objectives.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 12-15 years of relevant experience in investor relations, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or strategic M&A preferably in manufacturing, energy metering, smart infrastructure, or utilities.
  • Proven track record of raising capital, executing acquisitions or fund-raising deals in relevant sectors.
  • Strong existing network of investors (PE funds, strategic corporates, financial institutions) with experience in manufacturing or infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical skills, financial modeling, valuation, market benchmarking, and highly polished communication skills.
  • Additional requirements include familiarity with technical and financial aspects of smart meter manufacturing, IoT/AMI technologies, and utility sector dynamics.
