Unix Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to ensure the smooth operation of our Unix systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Unix systems, including AIX, Power 8/9/10, HMC, VIOS, and strong documentation skills. They will also possess a proven track record of troubleshooting complex incidents, managing approved platform changes, and conducting root cause analysis for recurring incidents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 or L3-level support for Unix systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate under ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem/Knowledge) to maintain high availability, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents, manage approved platform changes, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents.

  • Power 8/9/10
  • HMC v10
