Job Opportunity: Senior Accounts Professional

This senior role is accountable for leading all financial activities across the organization, including planning, implementing, and managing accounts, finance, and taxation.

  • Financial Management
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end/year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
  • Manage and analyze financial records, statements, projections, cost analysis, and provide valuable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies by contributing accounting information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness of financial reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and other functions to ensure smooth operations across geographies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of financial records.
  • Apply cost-accounting methodologies to identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Optimize ERP, IT, and process systems to build efficiencies and user friendliness.
  • Reconcile balance sheets to ensure account balances are supported by documentation.
  • Ensure accurate profit and loss statements.
  • Implement Enterprise Risk Management to prevent or detect fraud and conflicts of interest.
  • Taxation Strategy
  • Plan, optimize, and ensure completion of tax and statutory compliances at all locations.
  • Lead, monitor, and manage indirect and direct tax, including TDS, GST, advance tax, and DTA compliances.
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns.
  • Advise management on taxation matters impacting business operations.
  • Team Leadership
  • Mentor and develop team members, allocate work effectively, train systems, set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and build a high-performing team.
  • Create development plans that align with individual strengths, needs, career aspirations, and abilities.
  • Guide cross-functional teams outside direct span of control.

Key qualifications include Chartered Accountant (CA) certification and relevant diplomas/certifications.
