Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our Mechanical Application Engineering Group. As a key member of our team, you will assist clients in utilizing our GT-SUITE software platform to simulate the operation of electric motors, pumps, and compressors as well as whole 3-D vehicle systems and vehicle powertrains.

  • Evaluate and resolve technical support requests submitted via various channels.
  • Solve customer support requests independently and coordinate with DevOps teams for timely resolution.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of common business challenges faced by customers to map features and associated business benefits to their needs.
  • Serve as a customer advocate to shape and drive product roadmaps, enhancements, and improvements; Conduct independent research to design and define new software features and functionality.
  • Facilitate customer trainings to ensure satisfaction and retention as well as maximum usage of our product.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in automotive, mechanical, process, or aerospace engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing powertrains and/or engines, including measurement and instrumentation, and controls.
  • Previous participation in SAE student competitions or activities in similar societies or consortiums is beneficial.
  • Technical expertise in gear design, electrified powertrains, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).
