We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to join our team as an Insurance Business Development Specialist. This role will involve driving life insurance sales through direct client engagement and field visits. The ideal candidate should have a strong sales background, experience in lead generation, and the ability to convert prospects into customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Utilize various techniques such as field visits, cold calling, reference networks, and market activities to generate high-quality leads.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct meetings with clients to understand their financial needs and recommend suitable life insurance products.
- Policy Explanation: Clearly explain policy details, benefits, and premium options to clients and address their queries.
- Sales Performance: Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with branch teams, operations, and underwriters to ensure smooth policy processing.
- Marketing Initiatives: Participate in marketing campaigns, roadshows, and customer engagement initiatives to promote life insurance products.
- Record Keeping: Maintain timely records of all sales activities, leads, and customer interactions in CRM or reporting formats.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Field Sales Experience: Proven field sales experience (minimum 2 years) in life insurance, financial products, or similar sectors.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-Motivation & Independence: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Life Insurance Knowledge: Good understanding of life insurance products, customer needs, and regulatory compliance.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively for field visits and customer meetings.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reporting tools or CRM systems.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in any discipline (graduation is mandatory).
- IRDAI Certification: IRDAI certification preferred (can be obtained post-joining if not available).
- Prior Experience: Candidates with prior experience in insurance sales, agency, or banca channels will be preferred.
