Database Administrator Position

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and maintain our company's database infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, installing, and maintaining database management systems to ensure optimal performance.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Monitoring Oracle databases for performance and availability
  • Performing RMAN backups and basic recovery tasks
  • Executing health checks and resolving common database issues
  • Managing users, roles, and access privileges
  • Monitoring tablespaces and managing storage
  • Generating AWR/ASH reports for analysis
  • Supporting cloning, patching, and upgrade tasks under guidance
  • Assisting in monitoring and supporting Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
  • Primary Skills: Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c maintenance, RMAN backup and recovery, SQL and basic PL/SQL, OEM/monitoring tool usage, Linux/Unix basics and shell scripting, Tablespace and storage management, Basic support and monitoring of Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters)
  • Secondary Skills: Exposure to Oracle RAC and Data Guard, Experience with Data Pump (expdp/impdp), Basic cloud knowledge (OCI/AWS RDS), ITIL process understanding, Cron job scheduling and automation scripts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), OCI Foundations, ITIL v4 Foundation, RHCSA or CompTIA Linux+
