Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze mortgage loan applications to ensure eligibility, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines to minimize risk factors.
- Verify loan, property, and borrowers' information with other available documents, including verifying monthly income and expenses.
- Examine all documentation for accuracy and completeness, using the 4C's framework (Credit, Capacity, Collateral, and Capital).
- Calculate asset requirements for closing and reserve purposes, as per guideline.
- Make independent decisions regarding acceptance and risk of loans according to HUD, investor, and company guidelines.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in conventional/govt end-to-end underwriting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
