Job Title: Data Science Specialist – Machine Learning Expert

Description

We are looking for a seasoned Data Science Specialist with expertise in Machine Learning to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AI/ML development and a deep understanding of domain knowledge in Oil & Gas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in requirement gathering, elicitation, prioritization, and validation for AI/ML use cases related to E&P (Geophysics, Reservoir, Drilling), O&M, and HSE.
  • Develop and validate machine learning models using classification, regression, and clustering techniques.
  • Prepare and cleanse data, perform feature engineering, and support exploratory data analysis.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines leveraging big data platforms such as Spark and Databricks.
  • Collaborate in AI/ML model deployment and maintenance, including automated retraining.
  • Ensure adherence to AI governance, ethical use, and data security policies.
  • Create dashboards and reports to measure KPIs such as downtime reduction and process optimization.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5–8 years of AI/ML experience with some Oil & Gas industry exposure preferred.
  • Proficient in Python, ML libraries, SQL/NoSQL, and big data technologies.
  • Familiar with cloud ML platforms and MLOps fundamentals.
  • Good documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
