Job Opportunity: Data Science Professional

We are seeking a skilled data science professional to collaborate with our finance analytics team. This role involves designing and implementing predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions to enhance business value.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting data science initiatives, taking ownership of projects, and delivering high-quality data-driven analytics solutions. You should be adept at solving diverse business problems using various tools, strategies, algorithms, and programming languages.

The successful candidate can relate data science efforts to creating business value and solving real-world problems. They are experienced in collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining production forecast modeling pipeline, including model monitoring and refitting models as needed.
  • Collaborating with business partners to understand requirements, design, and build effective solutions for complex business problems that may be loosely defined.
  • Integrating data from multiple sources and building robust, cross-functional data assets to support analytics.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness and accuracy of data and data gathering techniques, determining materiality of data issues and challenges, and recommending a path forward.
  • Performing multivariate and exploratory data analysis and communicating key findings to colleagues and business partners.
  • Utilizing statistics and machine learning to build predictive models and tools supporting business initiatives.
  • Working closely with the team to perform complex analytics and data preparation tasks, including feature engineering and brainstorming potential data sources, internal and external, that may contain predictive variables.
  • Communicating and presenting findings, including visualizations, to business partners to ensure successful integration of projects into business processes. Proactively following up on any issues raised during presentations.
  • Providing training guidance and assistance to colleagues.
  • Analyzing data, drawing meaningful conclusions, and assisting in developing solutions to help drive profitability and/or growth.
