About the role

Our ideal candidate will have experience, skills, and passion for optimizing our tech architecture roadmap. Our tech stack includes:

● Over 120 high-traffic eCommerce websites serving customers globally

● Business analytics for product and catalog selection, customer growth, and retention

● Global ERP software managing our operations

● Software for crawling product listings at scale

● Modules across all functions, including marketing, logistics, customer support, finance, and more

● Workflow, dashboard, and reporting modules for our divisions

We're looking for an analytical, results-driven back-end developer who'll work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes. The Senior Developer will use programming languages and tools to analyze code and industry developments, formulate efficient processes, solve problems, and create seamless user experiences. They should have excellent communication, computer, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

● Analyze data, processes, and code to identify areas for improvement and solve problems

● Collaborate with front-end developers and team members to establish objectives and design cohesive code for enhanced user experiences

● Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry trends and developments

● Record and report data to relevant parties

● Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices, learn new programming languages, and assist team members

● Lead projects as needed

Desired Candidate Profile

● Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field

● 10-14 years of experience with primary expertise in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with JavaScript front-end technologies

● Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools

● Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement

● Excellent project and time management skills

● Strong problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills

● Ability to work independently or with a group
