Job OverviewThis role involves safeguarding the company's treasury as we grow from $1M to $10M in ARR over the next couple of years.
- We require someone to own and execute all financial operations, including payroll processing, vendor payouts, and collections (accounts receivables).
- The ideal candidate will oversee and ensure adherence to statutory compliance requirements, such as Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- This includes developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- They will manage the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating closely with department heads to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
This individual will also oversee cash management, monitor cash flow, and optimize working capital.
In addition, they will be responsible for managing relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and auditors.
Responsibilities include supporting fundraising efforts by developing investor presentations and financial projections.
The Chief Financial Officer will develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key performance indicators include driving operational efficiency by monitoring costing activities and identifying saving initiatives.
The selected candidate will also oversee the completion of statutory audit from a big 4 audit firm.
Requirements- A minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
- Experience building the finance function from scratch for a scaling SaaS company is highly desirable.
- Adaptability and flexibility are essential, as this role requires being open to new challenges and uncertainties.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is crucial.
- Prior experience working in SaaS accounting is advantageous.
This role is based in Bangalore and offers a competitive salary range of ₹1500000 - ₹3000000 per annum, depending on experience.
The company also provides generous equity (ESOP) to employees.
