Job Summary:

The Head of Strategic Projects will play a pivotal role in driving the successful completion of key assignments within the Construction/Manufacturing/Engineering/Automotive sectors. This position is critical in leading and coordinating multifaceted projects that are central to the organization's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Strategies: Develop and execute strategies for the successful delivery of special projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Project Teams: Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve set milestones and targets, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure Project Timelines and Budgets: Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Monitor and Report Project Progress: Monitor and report on project progress to senior management, providing regular updates and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Allocate Resources Effectively: Allocate resources effectively to support project requirements, ensuring that the right people, skills, and expertise are in place to deliver project objectives.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance to maintain high project standards, ensuring that all projects are delivered to the highest level of quality and excellence.
  • Implement Best Practices: Implement best practices for project management, driving continuous improvement in project processes and methodologies.
  • Manage Relationships with External Vendors and Contractors: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring that all project requirements are met and that vendors and contractors are held accountable for their performance.
  • Provide Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of growth and development and ensuring that all team members have the skills and expertise needed to deliver project objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance with Industry Regulations and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Prepare and Present Project Proposals: Prepare and present project proposals to secure necessary approvals, ensuring that all project requirements are clearly articulated and that stakeholders have a clear understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
  • Conduct Post-Project Reviews and Evaluations: Conduct post-project reviews and evaluations to extract key learnings, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these areas.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a Related Field: A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
  • Proven Experience in Managing Complex Projects: Proven experience in managing complex projects within the Construction/Manufacturing/Engineering/Automotive industries is required.
  • Demonstrated Expertise in Strategic Planning and Project Management: Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and project management is required, including experience in developing and executing project plans, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring project quality and compliance.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required, including the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills are required, including the ability to lead and motivate project teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and build strong relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Indepth Knowledge of Industry Regulations and Standards: In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards is required, including experience in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to Prioritize and Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously: The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously is required, including experience in managing project timelines and budgets, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring project quality and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Software and Tools: Proficiency in project management software and tools is required, including experience in using tools such as Asana, Trello, and MS Project.
  • Track Record of Successful Stakeholder Management and Negotiation: A track record of successful stakeholder management and negotiation is required, including experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating effectively, and resolving conflicts.
