Head of Strategic Projects

The Head of Strategic Projects will play a pivotal role in driving the successful completion of key assignments within the Construction/Manufacturing/Engineering/Automotive sectors. This position is critical in leading and coordinating multifaceted projects that are central to the organization's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Execute Strategies: Develop and execute strategies for the successful delivery of special projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead Cross-Functional Project Teams: Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve set milestones and targets, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
- Ensure Project Timelines and Budgets: Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Monitor and Report Project Progress: Monitor and report on project progress to senior management, providing regular updates and insights to inform decision-making.
- Allocate Resources Effectively: Allocate resources effectively to support project requirements, ensuring that the right people, skills, and expertise are in place to deliver project objectives.
- Oversee Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance to maintain high project standards, ensuring that all projects are delivered to the highest level of quality and excellence.
- Implement Best Practices: Implement best practices for project management, driving continuous improvement in project processes and methodologies.
- Manage Relationships with External Vendors and Contractors: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring that all project requirements are met and that vendors and contractors are held accountable for their performance.
- Provide Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of growth and development and ensuring that all team members have the skills and expertise needed to deliver project objectives.
- Ensure Compliance with Industry Regulations and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Prepare and Present Project Proposals: Prepare and present project proposals to secure necessary approvals, ensuring that all project requirements are clearly articulated and that stakeholders have a clear understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct Post-Project Reviews and Evaluations: Conduct post-project reviews and evaluations to extract key learnings, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these areas.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a Related Field: A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
- Proven Experience in Managing Complex Projects: Proven experience in managing complex projects within the Construction/Manufacturing/Engineering/Automotive industries is required.
- Demonstrated Expertise in Strategic Planning and Project Management: Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and project management is required, including experience in developing and executing project plans, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring project quality and compliance.
