Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and scale our applications using modern technologies like Java and Spring Boot.

About the Role
  • Design and implement scalable backend services and robust REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and best software development practices.
  • Orient databases for optimal performance, schema design, and query tuning to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Work with messaging queues like AWS SQS to build event-driven workflows that guarantee system reliability and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and guide junior engineers in their professional growth.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of features—from gathering requirements and design to deployment and monitoring.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate expertise in data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design principles.
  • Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development methodologies.
  • Showcase proficiency in SQL performance tuning and database optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS SQS or other messaging systems is highly valued.
  • Demonstrate ability to own and drive projects from concept to completion with a focus on delivery and quality.
  • Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach.
