Job Description

Machining Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Precision Machine Operator to join our production team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for operating conventional lathes and setting up tooling and fixtures for machining.

  • Study and interpret complex engineering drawings with attention to tolerances, finishes, and GD T requirements.
  • Identify, select, and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining.
  • Operate conventional lathes for turning, boring, threading, and facing large precision components.
  • Conduct in-process and final measurements using precision metrology instruments.
  • Perform rework on parts by adjusting machine settings if dimensions deviate.
  • Maintain job cards, production logs, and inspection records for traceability.
  • Carry out basic preventive maintenance, lubrication, coolant checks, and alignment verification.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Handle raw material, semi-finished, and finished parts, ensuring proper scrap disposal.
  • Collaborate with quality and design teams for issue resolution and process improvements.

Key Qualifications:

  • ITI Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years' experience in conventional lathe operation.
  • Strong ability to read complex engineering drawings with GD T.
  • Proficiency in metrology and inspection methods.
  • BASIC knowledge of machine maintenance and shop-floor safety.
  • Discipline in maintaining production and inspection documentation.
