About this role:

We are seeking a Data Science Risk Expert to join our team.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in data analysis and modelling initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvement, data reconciliation, and model documentation within the risk management framework.
  • Analyse programming models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modelling, exercising independent judgment to guide new and existing projects with medium-risk deliverables.
  • Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management.
  • Presentation of recommendations for resolving data reconciliation, production, and database issues.
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, and compliance teams, including various lines of business.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Science, Risk Analytics or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Risk Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one area of Home Lending/Auto Loan/Personal loan Strategy.
  • 2+ years of advanced programming experience in SAS or Python.
  • Experience in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving skills.
