Job Title: Senior Compliance Manager

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end GST compliance processes of multiple companies while leading a team of four team members.

  • Ensuring timely, complete and accurate preparation, filing, and reconciliation of various GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, GSTR-6, GSTR-8, and GSTR-10.
  • Reviewing and validating GST computation, tax liability and input tax credit claimed/reversed/availed/on hold etc.
  • Addressing and resolving discrepancies in GST return filing.
  • Obtaining new GST registration, amendment in existing registration and Show Cause Notice (SCN) in respect of registration.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading, guiding and mentoring a team of four members, allocating and prioritizing tasks and ensuring deliverables within timelines.
  2. Providing technical guidance including developments & updates to the team.
  3. Resolving queries related to GST law and compliance requirements.
  4. Monitoring team performance and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  5. Preparing data and documentation for responding to GST notices and coordinating with stakeholders for timely submission of reply.
  6. Staying up-to-date with recent amendments, circulars and case laws in GST to ensure compliance.
  7. Preparing periodic compliance calendar, reports and presenting to clients.
  8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date record of all GST filings, correspondence and reconciliation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Indirect Tax with at least 5 years in GST compliance. Prior experience in managing a team is preferred. Comprehensive understanding of GST law, rules, and regulations is necessary, along with proficiency in GST compliance software and ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, or Oracle.
