DevOps Engineer Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to lead our build and deployment efforts.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in building Jenkins scripted pipelines using Groovy language, as well as expertise in multi-branching, web hooks, credentials, and permissions usage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in build engineering and be able to effectively engage in debugging development and production environments.

They will also be responsible for building sustainable DevOps team capability to adopt to ever-changing tooling landscapes and controlling environments.

Additionally, the candidate should have good logical and analytical abilities to drive automation tasks and lead DevOps teams.

Good collaboration skills are also required to engage and service multiple engineering teams.

The selected candidate will be accountable for timely delivery of tooling for engineering deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Jenkins, Groovy, and GCP.
  • Expert level Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts expertise for managing API workload builds, integrations, and deployments.
  • Very good understanding on Google cloud services such as GKE, MIGs, CloudSQL, MemoryStore including integration patterns with GKE workloads.
  • Very good understanding on networking (Cloud and on-premise) for E2E workload build and deployments.
  • Hands on experience on automation of build, deployments, code scanning tools such as Sonar, Checkmarx, container scan, automation of tooling integration using web services via pipelines.
  • Good understanding on monitoring tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, Grafana for tooling integrations.
  • Good to have Understanding on Banking domain IT controls and processes.
  • Terraform tooling for infrastructure build.
  • GCP/AWS, Kubernetes Cloud Certification.
  • Hands on skills for building Jenkins scripted pipelines using groovy language.
  • Expert level Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts expertise.
  • Very good understanding on Google cloud services.
  • Good understanding on monitoring tools.
  • Understanding on Banking domain IT controls and processes.
