Retail Consultant Role Overview

We are seeking a business transformation leader to drive initiatives across retail operations.

This role involves bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, driving customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Discovery:
    • Conduct workshops to understand client pain points, business processes, reporting & dashboarding needs.
    • Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Techno Functional Aspects:
    • Translate the functional specifications derived from the workshop to a technical fit document.
    • Identify & highlight feature/reporting/dashboarding gaps.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to configure and deploy systems aligned with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to marketing, operations, and IT teams.
    • Ensure alignment between business strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Effective Onboarding:
    • Ensure all functional specifications are deployed in software (reports, dashboards, models, audiences etc).
    • Train super users of our clients on the platform.
    • Explain the support mechanism and set cadences for support / business related queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail consulting, business analysis, or solution delivery.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations: POS, loyalty, CRM, inventory, and customer experience.
  • Knowledge of Marketing Automation tools & how they function.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
