Role Summary

COMSOL is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for informing, selling, and supporting engineers, scientists, and academicians on the usefulness of simulation using COMSOL software. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the simulation process and its applications in various industries.

Key Responsibilities

* Execute end-to-end sales, from generating opportunities to closure, including pre-sales and post-sales operations.
* Account penetration and mapping, prospecting for new business opportunities, and developing relationships with key and strategic accounts.
* Understanding customer requirements, purchase processes, and offering optimal COMSOL techno-commercial solutions.

Pre-Sales Leads Qualification and Prospect Support

* Interacting with prospective and current customers, using communication skills and technical acumen to methodically identify and qualify simulation requirements.
* Participating in onsite and web-based customer meetings, workshops, and marketing and sales events.
* Articulating business cases for COMSOL's unique qualities, explaining licensing models, and negotiating terms and conditions with legal and procurement departments.
* Supporting prospective customers during software evaluations or facilitating such evaluations with COMSOL applications engineers.

Post-Sales Support and Customer Relations Management

* Promoting effective technical support together with COMSOL applications engineers for customers' applications.
* Communicating with existing customers to manage their relationship with COMSOL and keeping them updated on new features and technology in the COMSOL software.
* Finding new opportunities to sell existing and new COMSOL software and technology to existing customers or their colleagues.

Requirements

* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a physical science.
* Coursework based on computational analyses, modeling, and simulations through numerical methods, such as the Finite Element Method (FEM/FEA), applied in applications like fluid mechanics or dynamics, transport phenomena, heat and mass transfer, thermal engineering, thermodynamics, structural mechanics or analysis, acoustics, chemical or electrochemical reaction engineering, applied physics or mathematics.
* Prior sales experience, preferably in engineering software solutions (CAD/CAE).
* Excellent communication skills on the phone, in person, and in writing.
