Interior Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and creative Interior Design Specialist to join our team.

As an Interior Design Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our lead designer in various tasks related to client projects. This includes providing support during client meetings, taking notes and measurements/photos of projects, creating CAD drawings, researching decor and materials, placing orders, purchasing materials, and submitting receipts. You will also be responsible for tracking and communicating the status of orders, resolving problems, and scheduling tasks for designers, contractors, clients, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the lead designer in managing client projects.
  2. Take detailed notes during meetings and take measurements/photos of projects.
  3. Create CAD drawings for client projects.
  4. Research d cor and materials, provide pricing and availability information.
  5. Place orders, purchase materials, pick up and deliver.
  6. Submit receipts for all purchases and orders.
  7. Track and communicate the status of orders, resolve problems.
  8. Maintain spreadsheets with client selections/finish materials.
  9. Schedule tasks for designers, contractors, clients, vendors.
  10. Respond to client questions and concerns, project updates.
  11. Meet vendors, assist with installations.
  12. Submit detailed hours (billable and non-billable) and mileage log monthly.
  13. Check daily client spreadsheet for new tasks, update status of assigned task end of each day.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
