Service Sales Specialist (Loads) Job Description

This role involves simulating site-specific benefits of our upgrade portfolio while verifying the structural integrity of installed wind turbines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Re-assess existing/planned wind farms using internal tool chains to confirm compatibility of certain upgrades and turbine-specific structural integrity.
  • Assess site-specific wind conditions, apply mechanical load mitigation strategies, run bucket approaches, and evaluate possibilities for lifetime extension.
  • Support upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns, and initiating implementation of upgrades.
  • Collaborate with global service regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and their stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the business performance of the global Service business unit.
Requirements:
  • A completed university degree in Engineering or a Business/Economics degree with a strong technical background is required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry.
  • The ideal candidate should be highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, focused, and pragmatic individuals with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in a complex environment are preferred.
  • Familiarity with wind turbine technology and knowledge of tools like WindPRO and Python is an advantage.
