Key Role in Dimensional Accuracy

We are seeking a highly skilled Dimensional Management Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring the dimensional accuracy of our products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining measurement systems, locator strategies, and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and exterior trims.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement effective measurement systems to ensure accurate dimensional control.
  • Analyze functional requirements of Body in White and develop measurement strategies for module fitment.
  • Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up studies (1D, 2D, or 3D) during development phases to identify potential risks and provide solutions.
  • Execute tolerance simulations in 3DCS to replicate production processes digitally and validate concept robustness.
  • Evaluate and ensure quality and timelines of every delivery in the project.
  • Develop Gap & Flush plans and concepts to ensure visual quality of vehicles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback and provide solutions.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of 3D tolerance simulation tools (3DCS preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of GD&T and SPC.
  • Understanding of perceived quality.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes in Body in White.
  • Understanding of assembly operations in automobiles.
  • Proficiency in NX.
