Dimensional Management Engineer Job Description">

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Management Engineer to lead our team at the forefront of innovation. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, accompanied by 6-8 years of experience in the automobile industry, particularly in Body in White domain & Exterior/Interior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement measurement systems, locator strategies, and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and exterior trims, aligning with styling and manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze functional requirements of Body in White and create measurement strategies for module fitment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss and align tolerance concepts.
  • Perform thorough tolerance stack-up studies 1D, 2D, or 3D during development phases to identify potential production risks and provide effective solutions.
  • Execute tolerance simulation in 3DCS to replicate the production process digitally.
  • Evaluate and ensure quality and timelines for every delivery in the project.
  • Develop Gap & Flush plans and concepts to guarantee visual quality of the vehicle.
  • Engage in discussions with cross-functional teams for incorporating feedback and providing tailored solutions.
  • Design and align sub-module integration concepts to ensure seamless fitment and meet production planning requirements.
  • Align closures integration concepts in line with gap & flush plans to fulfill requirements.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Familiarity with 3D tolerance simulation tools (3DCS preferred).
    • In-depth understanding of GD&T and SPC.
    • Understanding of perceived quality.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes in Body in White.
    • Understanding of assembly operations in automobiles.
    • Working knowledge of different measurement systems and inspection methods.
    • Proficiency in NX software.
