Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchant Acquiring Risk Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing transactions being processed at acquired merchants via all channels, including UPI, POS, and PG. This role involves checking merchant behavior and detecting fraudulent merchants.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to examine and verify documents received from merchants in the event of escalations or fraud observed. Excellent communication skills are also required to inform stakeholders across the unit on frauds and patterns observed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in fraud monitoring and analysis.
  • Good understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregator business, and UPI fraud.
  • Strong handle on MS Excel - filters, pivot, charts, lookup, etc.
  • Coding in SQL is a plus.
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, or Econometrics preferable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review transactions and detect fraudulent merchants.
  • Examine and verify documents received from merchants.
  • Inform stakeholders on frauds and patterns observed.
  • Keep abreast of fraud trends and MOs in the industry.
  • Prepare MIS reports and submit to stakeholders.
  • Drive discussions with stakeholders on new requirements and enhanced surveillance.
