Furniture Design Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Furniture Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating original design concepts for solid wood furniture, aligned with global market trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on customer preferences through sales data, social media, and international market trends
  • Develop production-ready drawings using CAD tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or Rhino
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate designs into viable product collections
  • Incorporate export packaging standards and compliance requirements into designs
  • Design product lines for dining, seating, and case goods that meet globally competitive standards

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood
  • Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.)
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery
  • Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with reclaimed or sustainable wood materials
  • Understanding of packaging and shipping for exports
  • Familiarity with American and European design preferences
