We are seeking an experienced and skilled Category Manager to lead our FMCG product team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business growth and profitability in the FMCG category.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and drive business results.
- Develop and execute category strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendor partners to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
- Provide training and development opportunities to sales team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- MBA or Graduate degree in a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel frequently across locations within the region assigned and PAN India.
- Knowledge of local language/location of posting is required.
