Job Description

Our organization is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Production Chemist to join our team. As a key member of the production staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and consistent product quality by assisting in the preparation and execution of chemical production batches following standard operating procedures.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of chemical production batches, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Safely manage pyrophoric reagents and operate pressure reactors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform filtration of low-melting solids and apply optimal filtration techniques to maximize efficiency.
  • Report any deviations from specifications and collaborate with senior chemists to troubleshoot and rectify issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Generate reports and summaries as required by the production and quality control teams.
  • Ensure a secure working environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operate production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development to achieve common goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Contribute actively to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Required Qualifications and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry from a reputable institution with high academic achievements.
  • Up to 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical production sector with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset to drive innovation and overcome scientific challenges.
Physical Demands

The employee must meticulously monitor production processes, observing deviations in chemical reactions or equipment performance. This requires strong visual acuity, fine motor skills, and the ability to sustain focus for extended periods. Additionally, the employee should possess physical endurance to stand or move across the production floor for prolonged durations, handling machinery and monitoring production activities.
