Chemist Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine quality control tests of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct physicochemical analysis such as pH, loss on drying, ash values, extractive values, and specific gravity using appropriate laboratory instruments.
• Execute instrumental analyses (UV-Visible Spectrophotometry, TLC, Flame photometer, etc.) under supervision for qualitative and quantitative determination of phytochemicals or active ingredients.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, logbooks, and reports for all performed analyses.
• Support in documentation & record maintenance as per GMP and Ayush guidelines.
• Collaborate with senior QC chemists and cross-functional teams for method development and validation activities.
• Exposure to quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements for herbal/Ayurvedic products.
• Participate in method development & validation under guidance of senior QC chemists.

Eligibility:

• Fresh graduates or postgraduates in B.Sc./M.Sc.Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemisty or related disciplines.
• Candidates with 0–2 years of laboratory experience in quality control, research, or analytical testing are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of basic analytical techniques and good laboratory practices (GLP).
• Familiarity with basic laboratory instrumental techniques is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow protocols, and good record-keeping skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
