Kafka Cluster Design:

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Cluster Architect to design and implement highly scalable, automated migration pipelines for enterprise workloads. The successful candidate will develop custom plugins for Kafka Connect and integrate with cloud orchestration tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated migration pipelines using Apache Kafka.
  • Script and provision migration steps, automate validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks.
  • Develop and integrate custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows.
  • Build scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts.
  • Ensure automated tests cover data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration.
  • Integrate with cloud orchestration (AWS MSK, Kubernetes operators), manage infrastructure-as-code.

Requirements:

  • Cross-functional experience in Apache Kafka administration and migration, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring/validation tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and automation of rollback/validation steps for migrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data ops and security automation.
