Role Description

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in working with Higher Education stakeholders and developing thought leadership papers, reports, and articles.
Key Responsibilities:

Thought Leadership/Policy Advocacy work in Higher Education

  • Work closely with the Higher Education Committee leadership and members to identify areas/topics for thought leadership papers, reports, articles, etc.
  • Interface regularly with regulatory bodies/ministries/state govts and pro-actively engage in developing FICCI report/inputs on any govt notification/policy document, etc.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with University leaders/multilateral/bilateral organizations and other important stakeholders in higher education.

Organizing Committee Meetings and Task Forces

  • Conduct periodic committee meetings under the guidance of Committee leadership (develop agenda, prepare minutes, etc).
  • Identify and create small groups of experts/Task Forces to address specific sectoral issues.
  • Work with the identified Task Forces (TFs) in developing papers and executing bespoke projects.

Higher Education Summit (HES)

  • Manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit.
  • Work with the Committee leadership in designing the conference program and identifying national/international partners.
  • Manage masterclasses/workshops and focused closed-door interactions between industry and academic leaders.
  • Generate revenue through sponsorship/delegate participation, etc.
  • Manage social media branding and its effective execution.

Projects

  • Identify/executing projects in the space of industry-academia engagement. Reconnect with FICCI's NKFH partners and initiate activities based on the NKFH framework.
  • Organize capacity building programs for faculty/HoE Leadership.
  • Engage with World Bank/global agencies and explore joint projects.

Webinars/Workshops/Masterclasses/Delegations

  • Ideate and execute masterclasses/workshops/webinars on important/relevant topics.
  • Develop partnerships with external partners and generate revenue for the organization.

Reports/Recommendations

  • Monitor recent government announcements and develop FICCI inputs/recommendations.
  • Work with Knowledge Partners to provide information through secondary research for the annual FICCI Knowledge report.
  • Put together position papers/reports with Key committee members/task forces.
