Training Manager Job Description

This is a key role in driving the success of our organization through effective training and development programs.

  1. Identify and assess the training needs of sales teams, working closely with business leaders and field managers to develop a comprehensive training calendar and ensure timely execution of all relevant training interventions.
  2. Engage regularly with sales team members and managers to understand their challenges and facilitate the exchange of training-related information, ensuring all sales team members are trained on relevant products and skills in a timely manner.
  3. As a critical member of the Learning and Development team, collaborate with PMT and Medical Affairs teams to continuously update and enhance training modules, ensuring all content remains current, relevant, and impactful.
  4. Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions as per guidelines, evaluating and selecting participants who meet standards, while also conducting hands-on training for new hires on product, process, and company-related information, enhancing their personal effectiveness, detailed medical/scientific understanding, and selling skills.
  5. Evaluate participants based on prescribed parameters, engage with them and their managers for ongoing development and learning, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  6. Collate and analyze learning needs of sales teams, determining the most effective course of action in consultation with team leaders and stakeholders.
  7. Ensure adherence to established processes, compliance with departmental guidelines, and prompt administration and day-to-day work.

Requirements:

  • Science graduate; MBA desirable
  • At least 3-4 years of experience as a training manager with in-depth knowledge of medical and therapy and pharma selling scenarios
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, training skills, analytical abilities, and strong interpersonal effectiveness.
