Embedded Driver Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Driver Developer to join our team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering high-quality embedded peripheral drivers based solutions in Linux, RTOS/Zephyr, and baremetal environments.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have a strong passion for embedded software development with excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to design and implement firmware that spans pre-silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design, develop and deliver high-quality embedded peripheral drivers based solutions in Linux, RTOS/Zephyr, and baremetal environments.
  • Debugging and Legacy Drivers: Debug issues in legacy drivers as needed by collaborating closely with various stakeholders/teams (field, HW teams, marketing etc).
  • HW Bring Ups: Participate in HW bring ups.
  • Upstream Linux/Zephyr Drivers: Upstream Linux/Zephyr drivers/kernel changes.
  • Future SW Architectures: Help contribute to the design and implementation of future SW architectures as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expert Knowledge and Hands-on Experience: Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C.
  • Code Quality: Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail.
  • Baremetal and RTOS Environments: Good understanding of baremetal and RTOS environments and concepts.
  • RTOS/Zephyr/Linux/Baremetal Drivers: Good understanding and active development experience in RTOS/Zephyr/Linux/baremetal drivers.
  • Serial Communication Protocols: Some understanding of serial communication protocols.
  • Python: Fair understanding of Python.
  • Linux/RTOS User Space Applications: Working experience in developing Linux/RTOS user space applications.
  • Software Development Tools: Familiarity with modern software tools and techniques for development and debugging.
  • Software Development Processes: Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems is a plus.
  • Effective Communication: Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Academic Credentials:
  • Degree and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 7+ years of experience.
