Furniture Production Design Role

This role is responsible for the development of production drawings, cutting lists and optimization of material usage in furniture production.

As a key member of our design and production teams, you will work closely with designers and engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.

  • Develop detailed production drawings for furniture items based on initial designs and specifications.
  • Generate comprehensive cutting lists that outline materials needed for production including dimensions and quantities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure listed materials are available and suitable for intended designs.
  • Utilize software tools (e.g., panel optimization software) to create optimized cutting plans minimizing waste and maximizing material efficiency.
  • Work closely with furniture designers and engineers to ensure feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.
  • Review production drawings and cutting lists for accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct periodic audits of production processes to ensure adherence to design specifications and optimize production techniques.
Requirements
  • CAD software proficiency for creation and modification of production drawings.
  • Ability to stay updated with latest software tools for cutting list generation and optimization.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues arising during production process.
