Production Design Specialist

Furniture production design is a critical function that involves creating detailed production drawings, cutting lists, and optimized material usage plans for furniture items.

As a Production Design Specialist, you will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure the feasibility of designs from a production standpoint and effectively communicate any changes or requirements for the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed production drawings that include all necessary technical details, dimensions, and assembly instructions.\
  • Develop comprehensive cutting lists outlining materials needed for production, including dimensions and quantities.\
  • Utilize software tools to create optimized cutting plans that minimize waste and maximize material efficiency.\
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure listed materials are available and suitable for intended designs.\
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.\
  • Communicate effectively with the production team to convey any changes or requirements for the manufacturing process.\
  • Review production drawings and cutting lists for accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.\
  • Conduct periodic audits of production processes to ensure adherence to design specifications and optimize production techniques.\
  • Maintain organized documentation of production drawings, cutting lists, and project revisions for future reference and compliance.\
  • Prepare reports on material usage, production efficiency, and any discrepancies encountered during production.\
  • Optimize production workflows to minimize costs and improve productivity.
