Job Overview:

The Senior Quantity Surveyor plays a pivotal role in driving project success through effective cost management. This highly specialized professional oversees the estimation process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.

This leadership position involves guiding quantity surveyors and collaborating with cross-functional teams to control project costs and maintain competitiveness. A key responsibility is leading the quantity surveying process for projects, guaranteeing that all quantities and material costs are accurately assessed and aligned with project goals.

  • Review and validate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overheads, confirming adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather essential data for cost estimation and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Oversee and mentor junior quantity surveyors, focusing on the timely and accurate completion of their tasks.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost reports and support the estimation manager in presenting estimates to senior management and clients, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related fields.
  • At least 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying and estimation software.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent communication and team management abilities.
