Job Title: Senior Legal Executive

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Legal Executive to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Trial Preparation: Assist in the preparation for trials and hearings by drafting notices, plaints, written statements, synopsis, and organizing evidence and exhibits.
  • Collaboration with External Counsels: Work closely with external counsels, including senior advocates and their teams, on case strategy and pleadings.
  • Maintenance of Cause-Lists Tracker: Maintain accurate cause-lists trackers and keep management updated on the status of cases.
  • Legal Files and Documentation: Maintain and organize legal files and documentation.
  • Hearings and Adjournments: Attend hearings, take adjournments/certified copies as needed, handle authorities visiting the company's premises, visit police stations to file cases/FIR, etc.
  • Registration of Agreements: Coordinate the end-to-end process for Registration of Agreements in Sub Registrar's Office.
  • Notice Drafting and Response: Peruse Notices received from customers, police, government departments, vendors, etc., and draft responses by coordinating with relevant departments, represent before the authority as in-house counsel.
  • Day-to-Day Legal Matters: Actively coordinate with other functional areas for day-to-day legal matters such as issuance of notices, recovery of payments, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Legal Trends and Developments: Stay updated on legal trends and developments relevant to practice areas by researching relevant statutes, regulations, and case laws.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Corporate Agreements: Drafting, vetting, negotiating, and settling corporate agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, customer agreements, vendor agreements, channel partner agreements, etc.
  • Legal Case Strategies: Preparing and discussing strategies with management and external counsels to defend the company's legal cases.
Requirements:
  • Literature Degree: LLB from a reputable college.
  • Litigation Experience: 3-4 years of litigation handling experience in a reputable law firm or in corporate.
  • Research Skills: Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Livelaw, Manu Patra, Westlaw, LexisNexis).
