Project Financial Management Professional

The role of a Project Financial Management Professional is to oversee the financial aspects of a project from initiation to completion. This includes planning, budgeting, and forecasting as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing cash flow.

  • Financial Planning: Develop comprehensive financial plans that align with business objectives and ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and making adjustments as needed.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and identify potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Monthly Reviews: Conduct regular financial reviews with stakeholders, assessing performance against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Analyze and optimize cash flow, ensuring timely payments and minimizing delays.
  • Commercial Awareness: Provide commercial insight and guidance to project teams, promoting effective decision-making.
  • Client Coordination: Coordinate with clients to obtain approval for invoices and resolve payment issues.
  • Billing Register Maintenance: Maintain accurate billing records, tracking progress and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Site Expenses Monitoring: Oversee site expenses, providing weekly reports and reconciling SAP entries with invoices.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analyses, highlighting potential issues and suggesting improvements.
  • Project Actualisation: Lead the process of actualising projects, coordinating with teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Kappa Review: Review Kappa against budgeted costs, highlighting deviations and ensuring adequate documentation.
  • Provisions Check: Conduct comprehensive checks on provisions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Cash Verification: Perform monthly cash verification, reporting results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Internal Financial Controls: Implement and maintain Internal Financial Controls (IFC) as defined by HO in the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
  • ABG/PBG Renewal: Monitor and renew guarantees, insurances, and other contractual obligations.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Team Support: Provide support to project teams, anticipating and resolving issues proactively.
  • Timesheet Filing: File man-days accurately and timely for self against respective projects.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and guide site accountants in their day-to-day work.
  • Analysis Support: Support central controlling teams with various analyses and ad-hoc requests.
