As a seasoned Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative direction of medical departments and services.
- Coordinate and oversee all medical care provided at the unit, ensuring the quality of clinical services rendered.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, Radiation Safety, etc.
- Analyze departmental needs and requirements for consultants.
- Participate in tariff revision and compensation patterns for clinicians.
- Monitor and rationalize doctor costs.
- Rationalize surgical and medical charges.
- Be responsible for clinician-related quality monitoring, accreditation, and quality assurance services.
- Coordinate and conduct medical advisory board meetings, clinical HOD committees, departmental meetings, and participate in infection control committees.
- Oversee reporting and communication of quality improvement initiatives, patient safety awareness, safety culture surveys, and recognition programs.
- Address consultant recruitment and induction requirements.
- Formulate contracts with inputs from the hospital director for new consultants, train, re-privilege, and monitor their performance, appraisal, and personnel files.
- Address patient concerns, complaints, and potential medico-legal cases in coordination with treating doctors.
- Review, peer, and formulate draft replies for medico-legal cases with inputs from treating teams.
- Maintain medicolegal trackers and follow up on active cases.
- Conduct morality and mortality reviews periodically and audit clinical billing codes.
- Provide clinical input to unit heads on medico-legal cases received.
- Engage with teams through various initiatives like training, feedback, coaching, and reward and recognition programs.
- Recommend junior clinical manpower for effective functioning of clinical departments.
- Evaluate and initiate academic activities, programs, and courses.
- Train doctors on patient safety, service excellence, and healthcare communication.
- Prepare biomedical equipment capital expenditure budgets based on clinician inputs.
- Oversight medical records departments and initiate digitization and electronic records where feasible.
- Conduct awareness programs, campaigns, and drives for service excellence initiatives, patient experience videos, and effective communication strategies.
- Qualification: MBBS + MHA
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Medical Superintendent roles.
