As a Business Valuation Specialist, you will be responsible for extracting data from financial statements, conducting industry research, analyzing historical and projected financial statements, and identifying trends and anomalies. Your expertise will help inform business decisions and drive growth.

  • Extract and map data from financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents into valuation models and Excel-based tools
  • Conduct research on industry trends, guideline public companies, and precedent transactions
  • Analyze historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation
  • Identify and implement appropriate normalization adjustments to financial statements
  • Assist in building and refining valuation models, performing adjustments, and applying quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions
  • Contribute to the drafting of narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language
  • Prioritize projects and participate in scheduling meetings
Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • A business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA, or other advanced degree or certification
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in accounting or finance
