Senior Associate Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex business valuations and intangible asset assessments.

  • We focus on high-stakes securities, derivatives, estate, gift tax, and charitable contributions for financial reporting purposes.
  • Analyze historical financial data to understand business trends and identify potential risks.
  • Challenge assumptions related to future financial projections.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.).
  • Perform in-depth financial statement analysis, including ratio analysis and trend analysis.
  • Conduct market research and develop industry growth estimates.
  • Develop and review valuation models.
  • Prepare comprehensive valuation reports and client deliverables.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal management and external clients.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing fair value work in public accounting, consulting, or investment banking.
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory and methodologies.
  • Experience with traditional valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow method, guideline public company method, and guidance transaction method.
  • Ability to travel if required.
