Job Description

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay seeks a visionary leader to spearhead the strategic direction, academic initiatives, and operational management of the Motilal Oswal Centre for Capital Markets. As Program Director, you will be responsible for formulating and executing the long-term vision and strategy of the Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop programs and initiatives aligned with the Centre's mandate in financial markets research and education.
  2. Education and Research Program Management: Provide support for research projects, working papers, and publications in financial markets and related areas.
  3. Industry and Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  4. Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day administration, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  5. Communication and Outreach: Oversee the Centre's visibility, including publications, newsletters, and website updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in academic and/or research institutions, regulatory bodies, financial services companies, industry associations, or other relevant organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, fintech, or quantitative finance is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with academic institutions or research centers.
  • Strong professional network in finance or policy domains.
  • Familiarity with grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement.
